Quality Standards

In order for everyone to get the most benefit out of doxmania, it is of important that all users respect some quality standards.

Format of the file: .doc; .docx; .ppt; .pptx; .pdf

Only the following formats are allowed: doc and docx (Microsoft Word), ppt and pptx (Microsoft PowerPoint) and pdf (Acrobat Adobe).

File size: maximum 5 Mo
 
In order to guarantee the best user experience possible, files of more than 5 Mo will not be published. Furthermore, publishers are advised to reduce the size of the images contained in their documents or even to remove them.

Relevance of the document: files must not be too old

Publishers are advised to publish documents which are up to date.
Example: A study about the mobile phone dating from the beginning of the 90’s is not relevant. However, even if it’s 10 years old, a paper on the Second World War, is likely to interest many users.

Content of the file: sensitive content (sex, racism, propaganda...) prohibited

Documents containing racial remarks, shocking images or texts will systematically be removed from doxmania. Authors of such documents won’t be paid and their access to doxmania could be suspended. They also expose themselves to potential lawsuits.

Authors’ rights: plagiarism forbidden

Documents added to the platform by anyone who would not be its author will be removed. Users having knowingly misused others people’s work in order to earn money could be sued.

Quality: documents should be in their final form

Documents posted on doxmania should be provided in their final version. Incomplete documents, drafts and preliminary works will not be published. In addition, only documents that provide a sufficient depth of analysis will be publshed.

Structure of the document: coherence required

Doxmania will only publish documents which are well organized. For a text document, it is highly recommended to include at least a title, an introduction, and a conclusion. Other documents will have to be structured logically in order to facilitate the understanding of the reader.

Litigious contents: to be reported immediately

Any user who finds a litigious document (plagiarism, sex, violence...) is requested to notify it to the doxmania administrators. This can be done through the button "report this document" or by sending an email to abuse@doxmania.com.
